From January 9 until at least the end of the month, passengers flying to Thailand must present their coronavirus vaccination certificates when boarding a flight. This was previously reported by the Bagkok Post newspaper, citing the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).

The same requirement was in place in Thailand during the coronavirus pandemic. In October 2022, it was canceled, but in January they decided to return it due to an increase in the incidence of covid-19 in CHINA. It applies to all flights arriving in the kingdom after 01:00 January 9 local time (21:00 Moscow time January 8).

Tourists arriving in Thailand can provide a certificate of vaccination with one of the drugs recognized in the country. The list includes the Russian Sputnik V and Sputnik Light, as well as other foreign-made vaccines, the full list is published on the CAAT website.

For the certificate to be considered valid, a second dose of Sputnik V or a single component of Sputnik Light must have been administered at least 14 days prior to entry. You can also show a certificate of past infection if the person has been sick for the past six months. It is allowed to present a document confirming the presence of contraindications to vaccination.
