The daily number of cases of COVID-19 in the region has increased

In the Kaliningrad region on the morning of September 5, 185 cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were detected, five died. This is reported by the regional operational headquarters.

In 147 cases, the infection occurs in the form of SARS, in 11 - in the form of pneumonia, another 27 people are asymptomatic.

Among the sick children: three preschoolers under the age of six who do not attend kindergarten, three pupils of kindergartens, 16 schoolchildren, three students (MFLA, RANEPA, College of Information Technologies).

Among adult patients: 23 pensioners, 42 individual entrepreneurs, 37 non-working citizens, 7 medical workers, 7 specialists from educational institutions. The infection was also confirmed in 10 employees of trade and public catering enterprises, three employees of industrial enterprises, 10 employees of transport enterprises, 7 employees of the food industry, 5 employees of banks, two employees of consumer services organizations, one security guard and a shift worker.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 49,640 infections have been registered in the region, 45,499 have been ill, and 716 deaths.

As RBC Kaliningrad wrote with reference to the HEAD of the Rospotrebnadzor Elena Babur, the region ranks 23rd among Russian regions in terms of average daily statistics on the incidence of coronavirus. Chernyakhovsky, Polessky and Guryevsky urban districts remain in the "red zone" in terms of incidence rates.
