Among COVID patients in the region are 20 pensioners and 8 catering workers

In the Kaliningrad region, on the morning of May 23, 64 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were registered, 98 patients recovered, two new deaths. The number of deaths from the disease since the beginning of the pandemic has thus grown to 516. Daily data is provided by the regional operational headquarters.

it is reported that in 59 new cases, the infection occurs in the form of SARS, in five - in the form of pneumonia.

Among the infected children: an infant under one year old, a student of school No. 8 in Primorsk, a pupil of kindergarten No. 1 in Polessk. Among adults, 20 pensioners, a specialist in an educational institution, four employees of transport service enterprises, eight employees of trade and catering enterprises, an employee of an agricultural enterprise, two employees of sanatoriums, and an employee of a security company fell ill. Coronavirus infection was also detected in ten individual entrepreneurs and 14 non-working citizens.

Thus, as of May 23, 694,433 people have been examined in the region since the beginning of the pandemic. Of these, 33,144 patients were infected, 31,965 patients recovered, 516 died. 2,539 people remain under medical supervision.

As RBC Kaliningrad wrote earlier, according to data on the morning of May 22, 65 cases were registered in the region, on May 21 - 60 cases of infection, on May 20 - 63, on May 19 there were 55, on the morning of May 18 - 65, on May 17 - 68, and on May 16, 67 new cases were recorded.
