United Russia without Medvedev

On June 19, a congress of the United Russia party was held in Moscow, at which the list of candidates for the elections to the State Duma in September was approved. The federal list did not include party leader, deputy chairman of the Security Council and former head of government Dmitry Medvedev.

Earlier, RBC sources reported that the party was considering options for a federal list without Medvedev. According to them, United Russia was discussing a variant in which the deputy chairman of the Security Council would not be on the electoral list either. DIRECTOR of the Hermitage and former Minister of Labor: who was included in the lists of United Russia for the election Politics Total in the head part of the list announced by the presidentVladimir Putin , five people entered: Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, head physician of the infectious diseases hospital in Kommunarka Denis Protsenko, co-chairman of the central headquarters of the ONF Elena Shmeleva and Commissioner for Children's Rights Anna Kuznetsova. The situation with CORONAVIRUS in Russia

On June 19, Moscow recorded a daily record for the incidence of COVID-19  - 9120 people. In Russia, for the second day in a row, more than 17 thousand infected were detected.

Due to the continuing increase in the number of cases in the country, Russian regions continue to tighten restrictions: in St. Petersburg, they set a limit on the number of fans in the Euro fan zone, closed water parks and attractions, and limited the operation of water transport. In addition, the authorities have obliged state institutions to vaccinate 65% of employees against coronavirus. Mandatory vaccination against coronavirus for certain categories of citizens, following Moscow, the Moscow region, the Leningrad region, Kuzbass, Sakhalin and Tula, was introduced in the Tver region. In Moscow, coronavirus began to be detected in previously vaccinated and recovered patients, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. He attributed it to the more aggressive Indian strain. According to the head of the Center Gamaleya, this strain is "angrier" and more quickly leads to a severe form of the disease. COVID-19 will spread even faster, Rospotrebnadzor predicted. The reason is the small number of vaccinated and recovered patients who have preserved antibodies, explained specialist Anna Speranskaya. The "only salvation" against the rapid spread of new strains is vaccination, she noted.
