Moscow coped with the CORONAVIRUS pandemic better than other cities in the world. This was stated by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
“I think we did as well as the world's cities. And given the fact that we had much fewer restrictions, fewer lockdowns, the economy suffered less, I think it’s even better,” he said.
The mayor of the capital noted the work of doctors and employees of the social and transport services.
Sobyanin announced the minimum share of those vaccinated in Moscow in comparison with Europe Society
During the entire period of the pandemic, 1,154,115 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the capital. The day before, 2653 new cases were registered. On May 20, answering a question about the epidemiological situation in the capital, Sobyanin said that the situation "remains difficult, but not dramatic."
