The severity of the covid-19 coronavirus is worsening, many Muscovites are on ventilators in intensive care. This was announced on the TV channel "Russia 1" by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
“We see that the severity of the disease is at least not improving, on the contrary, it is getting worse, we have a lot of Muscovites in intensive care on a ventilator. The danger is real, it is high, big,” he said.
According to him, the incidence of coronavirus in Moscow is at a high level, despite the immunity of about half of the citizens. “We expected that the spring peak of the pandemic would be in April-May, as last year, in fact, it has shifted, we see, now it is in June-July,” Sobyanin said.
Moscow authorities will step up checks on compliance with COVID-19 measures during the holidays Society
However, the mayor said that the city authorities do not plan to strengthen measures to combat COVID-19. However, as noted by Sobyanin, the relevant services will conduct checks on compliance with the already established measures. “I have already given such instructions to my services, they will monitor compliance with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor. We will not strengthen these requirements, but those that have been established must be met,” he concluded.
