In Moscow, there is an increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus COVID-19 , but the situation is under control. This was stated in an interview with the Vesti program on the Rossiya-1 TV channel by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
“Of course, you need to understand that the situation in Moscow is not critical. But we see an increase in the incidence. Therefore, you need to be careful. And try as much as possible during this period of time not to contact once again, but to devote the weekends provided by the president to the dacha, to your loved ones, ”he said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
As Sobyanin recalled, this year the city authorities refused to hold large mass events, including a demonstration on May 1 and various festivals. He added that the action "Immortal Regiment" and a number of other events were postponed to other dates. “Nevertheless, all public catering, trade, parks - they will work, so you can safely walk, relax,” the mayor believes.
