Moscow has passed the peak of the incidence of CORONAVIRUS, the epidemic situation is improving rapidly, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“The number of diseases from the peak has decreased three times, which made it possible to halve the number of beds that work for covid. The vacated beds are now working for ordinary patients in a planned manner, this is very good, ”said Sobyanin.

Despite the improvement in the situation, covid-19 , according to him, "has not gone away" and the risk of getting sick is still there. The mayor urged caution and continued vaccination, especially for the elderly.

“At the same time, we can say that we, of course, have passed the peak level of the disease,” he added.
