Vaccination against CORONAVIRUS in Moscow gained "good momentum". This was stated in his blog by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
“Vaccination against covid-19 has gained good momentum. Medical workers are working with full dedication, ”he wrote.
According to him, the first vaccination was made by more than 2.7 million residents of the capital. Every day 60-70 thousand people are vaccinated. At the end of June, Sobyanin said that approximately 87,000 citizens were registered for vaccination in Moscow every day.
In Moscow, a jump in the number of new infections with coronavirus was recorded Society
Moscow was the first of the Russian regions to begin mandatory vaccination against coronavirus. By order of the authorities, at least 60% of employees of catering enterprises, housing and communal services, taxis, as well as at multifunctional centers, public transport and in some other industries should be vaccinated. Thus, a little more than 2 million people are required to be vaccinated, a total of 3.5–4 million people are employed in these areas, Anastasia Rakova, Vice Mayor for Social Development, estimated earlier.
Since the beginning of June, a sharp surge in COVID-19 cases has been recorded in Moscow. If on June 10, 5,245 infected people were detected in the capital per day, then on June 18, 9,045 cases were reported. Sobyanin said that the increase in the incidence is associated with the spread of the Indian strain of coronavirus in Moscow.
