Sobyanin announced a greater load on clinics than in the COVID pandemic

In the capital, the number of hospitalized children has already exceeded the rate of the pandemic period

Due to the increase in the incidence of influenza and SARS, the load on the capital's clinics is now higher than during the pandemic, Sergei Sobyanin said, TASS reports.

“At the beginning of the year, in connection with Omicron, our peak visits to polyclinics were about 40-45 thousand people per day. This fall, taking into account covid, SARS, and severe influenza, we have reached 60,000 visits per day. We even exceeded the peak thresholds of previous pandemic periods in terms of the load on the outpatient healthcare system. We received record volumes of hospitalization of the children's part of the population, ”he said during the annual report on the results of the activities of the capital government in the Moscow City Duma.

The incidence of influenza and SARS increased by 16% in a week Society

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the incidence of influenza this year in RUSSIA is 11 times higher than last year's level. On the eve of the department reported that over the past week, the incidence rate of SARS and influenza has increased in Russia by 15.8%.

Nevertheless, last week, on December 15, the capital's HEALTH department reported that the situation in the capital remains stable - the increase in the incidence of respiratory infections over the past week was 0%, and the growth rate of hospitalizations decreased by 15%.

Due to a surge in the incidence, restrictions have begun to be introduced in some regions. In  St. Petersburg and Moscow, a mask regime was introduced in hospitals and social institutions; in Vorkuta, Vladikavkaz and Smolensk, all schools were closed for quarantine. 

In Moscow, all educational organizations continue to work, only certain classes go into quarantine, the Moscow department of Rospotrebnadzor reported on December 13. Large industrial enterprises, hotels, transport, public catering and trade facilities of the city have been issued orders to carry out additional sanitary and anti-epidemic measures.
