Sobyanin called the situation with COVID in Moscow “deadly for many”

Despite the external improvement in the situation with coronavirus in Moscow, it remains difficult and deadly for many. This was stated by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in an interview with the Russia 1 TV channel.

“People are largely asymptomatic, and the course of the disease at first <...> disguises itself as SARS <...>, then it worsens sharply. Therefore, despite the external improvement in the situation, it remains extremely difficult, difficult and, I would say, deadly for many, ”said Sobyanin (quoted by TASS). He urged Muscovites to take care of themselves, comply with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and get vaccinated.

A day earlier, the mayor of Moscow announced that the situation with COVID-19 in Moscow is gradually stabilizing. This, according to Sobyanin, is about a slight decrease in the number of infections compared to the peak values ​​of a week ago. “The stabilization of the situation with the spread of infection inspires cautious optimism. However, the danger has not gone away. The risks of becoming infected and seriously ill are very high. Fighting COVID is possible only with mass vaccination,” he said.
