The Russian government has resumed the program of providing targeted support to backbone enterprises. These measures were introduced in May 2020 as anti-crisis assistance to domestic companies during the coronavirus pandemic. On March 6, the Prime Minister signed a resolution on the resumption of support in connection with "commission by foreign states of unfriendly actions and the imposition of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation, its citizens and Russian legal entities."
“The list of support measures available to systemically important companies that have been selected for the right to receive it includes state guarantees necessary for restructuring loans or obtaining new ones, as well as subsidies for cost recovery,” the press service of the federal government said.
Several Bashkir companies were included in the sectoral lists of backbone enterprises in Russia. Among them are JSC "Bashkir Soda Company", PJSC "UEC - Ufa Motor-Building Production Association", PJSC "NefAZ", JSC "BMK", JSC "Uchaly Mining and Processing Plant", JSC "Salavatsteklo", JSC "Turbaslinskie broilers", CJSC FGC Arkhstroyinvestitsii, LLC Bashkir Distribution Electric Networks and JSC Bashneftegeofizika.
Support will also be given to companies that have business in Bashkiria: Sigma Group, CJSC Magnitogorsk Bakery Plant - Sitno (Chelyabinsk Region), McDonald's LLC, Burger Rus LLC, UMMC OJSC, Russian Helicopters JSC , Electrozavod JSC, Pharmstandard PJSC and others.
According to the government of the Russian Federation, participants in the state support program will not have to undergo stress tests, that is, a mandatory assessment of financial stability, to receive assistance. Applications for support from enterprises will be accepted through the relevant departments.
