Shell, as part of a program to reduce dependence on Russian supplies, has pledged to book a significant part of the yet-to-be-built liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at the port of Brunsbüttel in northern Germany. It is reported by Reuters.

The oil and gas giant has signed a corresponding agreement with the German company LNG Terminal. Shell will handle the import and distribution of LNG through the terminal, which is expected to have a capacity of up to 8 billion cubic meters. m per year.
