Russians will be able to get a consultation with a psychiatrist as part of a medical examination after suffering a coronavirus, if such a mechanism is adopted by the Federation Council and the Ministry of Health. This was announced by the head of the Committee of the Federation Council on social policy Inna Svyatenko, reports TASS.

“We will work out a mechanism for organizing consultations with a psychiatrist: we will consider the possibility of issuing a referral from a therapist, and we will also develop a questionnaire, based on the results of which it will be possible to issue recommendations to contact a highly specialized specialist,” Svyatenko explained.

She added that incorporating mental health care into in-depth medical examinations would help identify and prevent depression and memory loss.
