The Accounts Chamber proposed to issue preferential mortgages once in a lifetime

The Accounts Chamber (AC) advocates that preferential mortgages in Russia be issued to one borrower once in a lifetime. This was announced in an interview with RIA Novosti by the auditor of the joint venture Natalia Trunova.

“We propose to limit the taking of preferential mortgages to one person at a time,” she said.

At the same time, Trunova clarified that the measure is proposed without reference to the place of residence. “We have no right to restrict people in choosing their movement. Another issue is that we have a very limited number of markets and territories where people aspire,” the auditor explained.

She noted that this is due both to objective factors, the dynamics of the development of certain parts of the country, where there are more opportunities, and on the other hand, this is a shortcoming of the regions, the possibilities of which people do not know. “That is, we have a bad situation with the space of choice,” Trunova added.
