The plane with the Holy Fire, which descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, flew to Moscow's Vnukovo-3 airport, the press service of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation (FAP) reported, RIA Novosti reports.
The Holy Fire was brought for a traditional service in the Moscow Cathedral of Christ the Savior. During the Easter service, lamps with fire will be delivered to 15 churches in Moscow and five churches in the Moscow region.
The FAP clarified that representatives of the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church should also arrive at the airport, who will deliver the Holy Fire to St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Murmansk, Ufa, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Kemerovo, Volgograd, Kaluga, Belgorod and other cities.

The Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on the afternoon of April 23. After that, the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III distributed it to the ministers of the Greek Church and representatives of other denominations of the Christian Church, who own the temple. Then the Holy Fire was received by the delegation of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation.
The Holy Fire descends in Kuvuklia, a marble chapel above the cave of the Holy Sepulcher, in which, according to legend, Jesus Christ was buried.
