The main topic of the KazanSummit 2022 business program this year will be the sharing economy and the “common benefit of halal,” Acting Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan said today in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic. head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Insaf Galiev. According to him, during the summit days, on May 19-21, about 100 different thematic hundred sections will be held at the Kazan Expo site - 10-15 at a time.

As of the evening of May 9, more than 1,600 participants representing 55 countries and 42 regions of Russia have registered for the summit. The total number of participants, according to forecasts, will be about 5 thousand people.

“This year features a number of innovations. The most notable is the Russia Halal Expo. It is the opening of the exhibition that begins a series of festive events on May 19. This site will be open from 8 am. The area has doubled compared to last year. Compared to the first exhibition, which took place in 2017, the area has increased 10 times. The number of exhibitors has tripled,” Galiev said. 

At the moment, it is known that representatives of 7 countries and 12 regions of the Russian Federation will take part in the exhibition. According to Galiyev, companies from Tatarstan, Turkey, Iran and so on will be represented. 

“We will do our best to present halal products developed in Tatarstan at the exhibition. It will be agriculture, pharmaceuticals, medicine, tourism, light industry,” he said. 

For the first time, within the framework of the summit, World Halal Day (World Halal Day) will be held, a machine-building cluster forum, various mother classes and educational events will be held.

Galiyev noted that registration for the summit has been extended until May 15. Free shuttles will be organized for residents of Tatarstan and guests. “From 7:30 am, the first shuttles to KazanExpo depart from the theater. G. Kamala through the metro station "Prospect Pobedy". Large 52-seater buses will leave every 1.5 hours,” he added.

KazanSummit will end on May 21 with a visit to the Great Bulgar as part of the celebration of the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.
