This week, Roszdravnadzor began daily monitoring data on the availability of vaccines and drugs for coronavirus infection in Russia, Kommersant reports. The newspaper refers to the instruction to the department, as well as the Ministry of Health and the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), which they received at the end of January after a meeting of the government’s operational working group to combat the spread of the omicron strain.
The Ministry of Health confirmed to the newspaper that Roszdravnadzor, as part of the plan to counter Omicron, receives daily reports on the volume of drugs.
The document says that the CRPT should track the availability of medicines and vaccines both at the regional level and in individual medical organizations, as well as data on daily consumption, the remaining volume, the dynamics of their use and the volume of written-off vaccines before the expiration date. This information center each day passes to Roszdravnadzor.
The CRPT told the newspaper that almost 90,000 participants are registered in the labeling system, thus it is possible to trace the movement of drugs throughout the supply chain. “This allows real-time tracking of the location of each package, which is especially important for medicines and vaccines against COVID-19,” said Revaz Yusupov, deputy general director of the center.
