Rosstat named the number of residents of Kuban who died from COVID-19 in March 2021.

In March 2021, 489 people with coronavirus died in the Krasnodar Territory, according to the materials of Rosstat. According to the statistical service, all of them were identified with COVID-19 .

The Krasnodar Territory in this indicator is in second place in the Southern Federal District and seventh in the Russian Federation. In the south, the Rostov region is in the lead (530 deaths). The country has capital regions. In the first place is Moscow (2231 deaths), the top three includes St. Petersburg (1384 deaths) and the Moscow Region (1321 deaths).

In March, 324 more dead residents of Kuban were confirmed to have coronavirus, but it was not the main cause of death. In 128 people, COVID-19 was also not the main cause of death, but significantly influenced the development of fatal complications of the disease.

According to Rosstat, a total of 8,093 people died in the Krasnodar Territory in March 2021. This is 39.3% more than in the same period last year (5809).

As RBC Krasnodar reported, 95 cases of a new coronavirus infection were registered in the Krasnodar Territory over the past day. The total number of infected is 45,883. The incidence rate per 100,000 people is 808.4.

40361 people were discharged with recovery. 2717 patients could not be saved. 63 patients are in serious condition on mechanical ventilation, 2 on ECMO.
