In 2021, the number of Russians who purchased household goods in installments increased by 30% compared to the time before the CORONAVIRUS pandemic in 2019. This is stated in the results of a study conducted by the Hoff chain of stores and Sovcombank.
The total turnover of payments in installments from January to September has also grown - this year, such purchases have become 1.5 times more compared to the same period in 2019 - from 1.7 billion to 2.5 billion rubles. In two years, the number of transactions for goods in installments in online and offline stores increased by 60%, there were 200 thousand of them, and last year there were 40% fewer transactions for goods in installments.
The researchers analyzed the purchases of the country's residents from 2019 to 2021 using the Halva installment card in Hoff stores in ten cities with a population exceeding 1 million people.

Along with the increase in the number of installment purchases, the researchers concluded, the average check remained at almost the same level. While in 2019 and 2020 the average purchase cost 14 thousand rubles, in 2021 it slightly decreased to 13.2 thousand rubles. In addition, it was noted in the results of the study that most installment purchases are made in August and September. Thus, in August this year, the turnover of such purchases increased by almost 40% compared to January of the same year.
