The Russians told who they quarrel with because of the vaccination against COVID

There are more fights over vaccinations at work than at home or among friends. At the same time, men are more likely than women to enter into disputes about vaccinations with colleagues.

Due to vaccination against CORONAVIRUS infection, Russians argue more often at work than in the family, follows from the results of a survey conducted by the SuperJob job search service (available from RBC).

The experts found that every fourth working Russian (24%) had to argue with colleagues about vaccination. At the same time, the instigators of the discussion were equally often both supporters of vaccination and its opponents (33% each).

Every fifth (20%) entered into a discussion on this topic with friends, and 15% had to defend their point of view in a dispute with relatives. Russians are the least likely to quarrel over vaccination with their partners - only 8% of those surveyed are married or in a relationship.

The authors of the study note that men are more likely than women to argue about the need to get vaccinated with colleagues and friends (25 and 22% versus 22 and 18% for women). Women more often try to convince their relatives that they are right (16% versus 14% for men).

In addition, according to the study, opponents of vaccination are more likely to initiate disputes with friends - 41%, "vaxers" in 29% of cases, and "anti-vaxers" in 28% of cases. In turn, both supporters of vaccination and anti-vaccinators start discussions with colleagues equally often — 33% each. As for quarrels with partners, Russians more often say that both sides are equally to blame for the conflict - 31%.

The survey was conducted in 401 settlements from 4 to 10 August 2021. The participants were economically active Russians over 18 years old. The survey involved 1.6 thousand respondents from each group.

In June, the Platforma social design center and Online Market Intelligence published a study according to which the proportion of Russians who doubt the need for vaccination or who have already firmly decided not to get vaccinated was 40%.

At the same time, the proportion of “solid objectors” was 17% of all respondents, and 23% noted that they most likely would not be vaccinated.
