Russia is now in fourth place in terms of the number of cases of coronavirus infection since the beginning of the pandemic and is ahead of all other European countries in this indicator, according to official statistics.
On July 13, the Russian operational headquarters recorded 5,833,175 cases of infection in the country since the start of the pandemic. In France, which until today ranked fourth, according to the Ministry of Health, as of July 13, there were 5,820,849 cases of all time. The Worldometer portal shows the same number of infected. Johns Hopkins University, which tracks statistics, however, cites data that 5.882 million people were infected in France (but the university’s data on Russia at the time of publication does not correspond to the statistics of the operational headquarters: 5.762 million).
According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO), Russia is in fourth place in this indicator (5,833,175 cases), followed by France (5,700,017).
The largest number of infections, according to Johns Hopkins University, was recorded in the United States (more than 34 million), India (30.9 million) and Brazil (19.1 million). WHO provides almost the same data.
