Russia to expand rail links with Belarus

Russia resumes railway communication from the Belarusian cities of Polotsk and Gomel to Moscow from June 10. This was reported to RBC from the operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 .

“From June 10, railway communication with Belarus will be resumed on the Gomel-Moscow and Polotsk-Moscow routes on a daily basis, as well as the number of cars in the Lastochka trains on the Moscow-Minsk route will be increased,” the message says.

In addition, the operational headquarters announced an increase in the number of flights on the Moscow-Minsk route from June 10 to ten times a week on a reciprocal basis.

Restrictions on movement between Russia and Belarus were introduced in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
