RUSSIA and Thailand will discuss the issue of mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against CORONAVIRUS infection in order to resume transport links between the countries. This was reported by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.

“Russia and Thailand intend to work on the issue of mutual recognition of covid-19 vaccination certificates  as one of the steps necessary to open borders and resume communication between our countries,” the ministry said.

In addition, the countries agreed to cooperate in the development and use of vaccines, as well as in studies of population immunity and laboratory diagnostics, including in the field of conducting research on the diagnosis of coronavirus with test systems that are used in Russia and Thailand.

In mid-July, The Bangkok Post wrote that in Thailand, the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Tau in the Gulf of Thailand began to receive tourists who had been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
