The Russian companies told about plans for a remote location because of "omicron"

Every ninth Russian company, due to the spread of “omicron” and a new surge in the incidence, intends to increase the share of remote workers or has already done so.Now almost a third of companies have remote workers

11% of Russian companies have sent or plan to send staff to remote work in the near future in connection with the spread of the omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS, a survey of the Superjob service showed. In Moscow, the share of such employers is higher than the national average (14%).

The survey was conducted from January 13 to 18, it was attended by HR managers and other representatives of the personnel services of enterprises and organizations responsible for recruiting. A total of 1,000 respondents answered the questions.

According to the survey results, 31% of organizations now have remote employees. This is a third less than in the second half of October 2021, when RUSSIA faced a wave of coronavirus due to the Delta strain, but more than in September. The record share of organizations with remote employees was recorded in May 2020 - 59%.

Most often, they are sent to remote work in the capital: 47% of Moscow employers reported the presence of remote employees in the state. In the regions remote work is practiced less often (21% of organizations).

Employees employed in the field of information technology are most often transferred to a remote work format, 22% of employers reported this. Among other business areas in which staff are most often transferred to remote work are personnel management and recruiting (21%), sales (17%), accounting and finance (13%), and procurement and supply (11%).
