As of the first week of August 2021, among all catering and trade workers, only 40 and 41%, respectively, were vaccinated. This was stated by the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the Rostov region Evgeny Kovalev during a meeting of the operational headquarters to combat the spread of covid-19 .
He stressed that these areas show the lowest percentage of vaccination coverage. In addition, a small number of employees took root in the provision of housing and communal services and transport - 44 and 49%, respectively. The leaders in the number of vaccinated employees of the MFC - almost 80% of employees are vaccinated there, the healthcare, education and social protection sectors, where the number of vaccinated reaches 65%. In the client departments of banks, there are slightly fewer of those who have been vaccinated - about 64%.
According to Yevgeny Kovalev, trade workers were least vaccinated in Donetsk (more than 4% were vaccinated there at the beginning of August), in Novocherkassk (8%), Kashara (18%) and Kamensk-Shakhtinsky (25%). Also, the lowest indicators were noted in the field of public catering in Taganrog, where 15% of employees were vaccinated, and Novocherkassk, where 10% were vaccinated. Public transport drivers are reluctant to get vaccinated in Shakhty (13% of employees) and Novocherkassk (also 13%), while healthcare workers in Myasnikovsky (20%) and Semikarakorsky (21%) districts of the region.
The Chief Sanitary Doctor called on the heads of municipalities to "activate work among the above categories."
Earlier, RBC Rostov reported that, according to the Rostov Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers, as of August 12, 2021, employees of about 70 city establishments were fully vaccinated. Denis Zavalishin, manager of the restaurant Jolly Wine & Food, found it difficult to name the exact number of vaccinated employees, but, according to calculations, in total it is estimated from 1.4 thousand to 3.5 thousand people.
