Rospotrebnadzor reported a sharp increase in the incidence of COVID in the region

Over the past week, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the Novosibirsk region has increased by 80% to 806 cases, Alexander Shcherbatov, head of the territorial department of Rospotrebnadzor, said at an operational meeting in the regional government.

“We see a trend towards an increase in the epidemic process, that is, every week we see an increase in the number of cases. The distribution coefficient has increased, ”TASS quotes Shcherbatov as saying.

According to the Minister of Health of the region Konstantin Khalzov, more than 262 thousand cases of the disease have been registered in the region. Over the past day, 135 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the region, 21 people were hospitalized. 1.6 million residents of the Novosibirsk region have been vaccinated.

Until September 30, the region is on high alert.
