According to the agency, vaccination is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risks of a severe course of the disease, including the elderly. At the same time, complications are possible in older people when infected, including viral pneumonia and various thromboses, clarified in Rospotrebnadzor.

The press service of the department emphasized that full-fledged immunity is formed within 42-45 days after the first vaccination, however, before antibodies are developed, you should continue to follow safety measures, including: avoid crowds, wear medical masks and wash your hands more often.
