Recently, a sharp increase in the incidence has been observed in Kenya, the infection spread rate (Rt) more than quadrupled from October 18 to December 13, Rospotrebnadzor noted. The number of detected cases has reached 471.1 people per 100,000. The omicron strain is now actively circulating in the country.

From December 21, the Kenyan authorities will introduce a complete ban on the entry and movement of air and land transport around the country for citizens who have not been vaccinated with vaccines approved by the World HEALTH Organization (WHO).
