“The vaccination campaign is not easy and the pace of vaccination as a whole is still insufficient. To date, 385 thousand people have been vaccinated - 12.6% of the adult population. If we don’t speed up, then by autumn we won’t be able to reach 60% coverage of the population, which means we will again face a seasonal increase in the incidence of coronavirus,” Marina Patyashina, head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, said today at a meeting in the government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to her, today 92% of the received vaccine has been used up in the republic. But in 10 districts this figure is below the average for the Republic of Tatarstan. Most of the vaccinated among social and medical workers. 27% of representatives of law enforcement agencies were vaccinated. The least actively vaccinated are employees of the service sector and citizens with chronic diseases.
Patyashina said that the epidemiological situation in the republic has not changed for the past 2 months. “The average number of cases of coronavirus infection per day in April-May was 33-34 cases. This could be regarded as stabilization, but there are still many unvaccinated individuals among us who are the target of the virus. This does not allow for a steady decrease in the number of cases,” said the head of Rospotrebnazor in the Republic of Tatarstan.
In 16 districts of Tatarstan, the incidence rate exceeds the republican level. In May, the number of cases among pensioners and the non-working population increased.
