Rospotrebnadzor called economics the reason for discussing “disease X” in Davos

Statements about “disease X” may be based not on scientific, but on economic grounds, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor said.

“The inclusion of 'Disease X' on the Davos agenda and a financially motivated line-up that includes large pharmaceutical companies indicates that the session's dialogue will revolve around increased investment. This is especially beneficial for large pharmaceutical campaigns,” the report says ( quoted by TASS ).

The department added that after the end of the covid-19 pandemic , the World HEALTH Organization is actively promoting the idea of reforming the global health architecture, declaring that the world community is unprepared for new threats and calling for an increase in its funding. In addition, Rospotrebnadzor pointed out that the discussion in Davos “is expected to involve pharmaceutical companies and conglomerates,” but not world-famous experts, epidemiologists who are directly involved in assessing the risks of new epidemics.

The topic is planned to be discussed during the “Preparing for Disease X” meeting, which will be held on January 17 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Among the announced speakers is WHO DIRECTOR General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“Disease X” is a shorthand designation for a disease that has the potential to cause a pandemic. it is assumed that it can be caused by a microorganism still unknown to mankind . WHO has included “Disease X” in its list of priority diseases. The letter “X” in the name symbolizes the surprise with which the disease will come, noted the HEAD of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci.
