The question of the amount of antibodies that a person needs to protect against CORONAVIRUS is still up for debate, in particular in the scientific community. This opinion was expressed by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor, RIA Novosti reports.

“Please note that the level of antibodies sufficient for protection is the subject of scientific discussions around the world. However, in no country do documents on immune status are issued on the basis of measuring the level of antibodies, ”the ministry said.

Only the fact of vaccination or a disease with a confirmed diagnosis can confirm that a person has immunity to a certain disease, the press service emphasized.

Earlier, the HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the level of antibodies that can provide protection against coronavirus has not yet been established. She later admitted that the government was discussing the issue of issuing QR codes for a vaccinated or recovered person to anyone who has antibodies to the coronavirus.
