Rospotrebnadzor named the number of cases of omicron-strain in the Perm Territory

As of January 25, 61 cases of the omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS have been confirmed in the Perm Territory. Of the total, 37 cases were registered among residents of the region who did not travel outside the Perm Territory. Also, 7 cases were imported from Turkey, 4 from Egypt, 4 from the UAE, 3 from the UK, 2 from the Dominican Republic, 1 case each from Cyprus, Austria, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This is reported by the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

As of January 17, only six cases of the omicron strain of coronavirus were recorded in the region. 

The registration of local cases of covid-19 diseases caused by the Omicron strain indicates the circulation of this strain in the Perm Territory. The course of the disease is mild.

Earlier, RBC Perm reported that over the past day in the Perm region, coronavirus infection was detected in 1,076 people. Of the new patients, 121 are vaccinated. During this period, 10 people died from COVID-19. Over the entire period of the pandemic in the region, 7,738 patients died from coronavirus. The total number of infected in the Perm Territory has reached 172,041.

According to the Ministry of HEALTH of the Perm Territory, since the beginning of mass vaccination in the region, more than 1.33 million residents of the region have been vaccinated with the first component. Of these, more than 1.27 million have completed the course of immunization - they have received the first and second components. The share of available beds is 27.8%.
