Rospotrebnadzor recalled the safety of vaccines for reproductive function

Russian CORONAVIRUS vaccines do not affect the ability to have children. This is stated on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

“There is no evidence that any vaccine, including the coronavirus vaccine, can affect fertility in women or men. <...> If you are currently trying to conceive, you do not need to avoid pregnancy after being vaccinated against covid-19, ”the message says.

The agency clarified that domestic coronavirus vaccines have passed the necessary tests to assess the effect on offspring, primarily on laboratory animals. No negative effects were identified.

Previously, Chief Specialist of the Ministry of Health of RUSSIA for Women's Reproductive Health, Deputy DIRECTOR of the National Research Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology named after A.I. Kulakova Natalia Dolgushina clarified that experts, on the contrary, recommend that Russians of reproductive age be vaccinated. This is associated with the risk of pregnancy complications and maternal death after COVID-19.
