Роспотребадзор Татарстана высказался о четвертой волне COVID-19

Rospotrebnadzor of Tatarstan spoke about the fourth wave of covid-19 Only mass vaccination of the population can prevent the so-called fourth wave.

“The faster we take root, the more likely we are not to see the fourth wave at all. Maybe there will be a slight increase, but we still hope that it will be small compared to last year and previous months,” Lyubov Avdonina, deputy HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan, said today at a press conference at the Tatar-inform news agency.

On September 7, Denis Protsenko, chief physician of the hospital in Kommunarka, said that the next rise in the incidence of COVID-19 (fourth wave) could occur in late September - early October. He explained this, including the seasonal factor.

“We are on the verge of a seasonal outbreak that is not unique to covid. I'm talking about the flu and other SARS. The coincidence of certain factors - the season, the return from vacation and the beginning of the school year - may create the preconditions for the tension of this situation in late September - early October, ”Protsenko said in an interview with E1.

Avdonina noted that the department encourages residents of the republic to undergo COVID-vaccination.

“You see that more than a million residents of the republic have already been vaccinated, and even more have been vaccinated in the Russian Federation. Foreign countries have recognized our Sputnik V as an effective vaccine, it is also being vaccinated in the world. You can see that this number of people are alive and well, so today the safety of vaccination has already been confirmed, ”said the deputy head of Rospotrebnadzor.

As of September 9, 1,028,725 people were vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS in the republic, of which 879,654 received a second dose of the drug.
