More than 200 more civilians may be in the underground premises of the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol, an unnamed representative of the headquarters of the operation to liberate the enterprise told RIA Novosti.

“In the underground premises of the enterprise, the Azov Nazis (recognized as extremist in RUSSIA and banned. -) can forcibly keep more than 200 civilians, including women, children and the elderly,” a source from the agency said, noting that earlier they managed to evacuate from the plant over a hundred civilians.

The next day, the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters of Russia for Humanitarian Response (MKSH) reported that during the daytime on May 5, 6 and 7, the Russian military would open humanitarian corridors from the territory of the Azovstal plant. The headquarters noted that during these periods, the military of Russia and the Donetsk People’s Republic “unilaterally” will stop hostilities and withdraw troops in order to ensure the exit of civilians both towards Russia and towards Ukraine.
