
The Sputnik V CORONAVIRUS vaccine has demonstrated high safety performance during vaccination in San Marino. This is stated on the website of the Russian Direct Investment Fund with reference to the journal EClinicalMedicine (published by the medical journal The Lancet).
The vaccine has shown a high tolerability rate among people over 60 years of age. it is also noted that almost all reported adverse events after vaccination were mild or moderate, lasting less than two days. There were no deaths or hospitalizations reported.

“The lack of political motivation and bias helped San Marino opt for the Russian vaccine, which has established itself as one of the best in the world in terms of safety and efficacy,” said Kirill Dmitriev, HEAD of the RDIF, commenting on the results of the study.
The study was conducted from March 4 to April 8. Vaccine analysis was performed to quantify the frequency of adverse events after immunization with the first as well as the two components.
