Biden's approval rating fell to 50% for the first time

Joe Biden's US presidential approval rating among Americans dropped to 50% in July from 56% the previous month. This is evidenced by the results of a Gallup poll conducted July 6-21 among about 1 thousand respondents.

This figure was the lowest during Biden's tenure as HEAD of state, the Institute of Public Opinion notes.

45% of respondents do not approve of the president's activities, another 5% of respondents have not formed a point of view on this issue.

According to the company, Biden's rating is falling among his supporters in the Democratic Party: now 90% of party members approve of his work, in January he was supported by 98%. Among Republicans, 12% of respondents responded positively to Biden's activities (in January - 11%), among those who are not supporters of any party - 48% (in January - 61%).

The drop in the rating comes as progress in the fight against CORONAVIRUS has slowed in the United States, the company says: vaccination is slow, and the number of cases of covid-19 is growing.
