The developer of "Sputnik V" decided to study the issue of refusal vaccinated against masks

The issue of waiving the mandatory wearing of masks should be studied after receiving data that those vaccinated with two components of Sputnik V are not able to isolate CORONAVIRUS. This was announced by the HEAD of the Laboratory of Mechanisms of Population Variability of Pathogenic Microorganisms of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Vladimir Gushchin, RIA Novosti reports.

“Right now, I think that this is not a question of the removal of masks, but an indication that this issue needs to be looked into more closely,” he said.

According to him, there are reasons to say that the probability of transmission is greatly reduced, but only detailed studies can provide accurate numbers.

Earlier, Gushchin said that those who received both doses of the Sputnik V vaccine in case of illness do not emit a viable virus and are not a source of danger to others.
