The HEAD of the region, Radiy Khabirov, has amended the decree on the high alert regime in force in the region due to the spread of CORONAVIRUS infection.

Bashkiria introduces mandatory self-isolation for two weeks for arrivals from Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Eswatini, Hong Kong and South Africa. This requirement applies both to aircraft crew members and to those who arrived in the region in transit through other entities. Changes to the decree were made in accordance with the resolution of the country's Rospotrebnadzor.

The amendments reduced the validity period for a negative PCR test result for covid-19 from 72 to 48 hours. As RBC Ufa reported, chief sanitary DOCTOR Anna Popova reduced the validity of the document in early December. Announcing the changes, she explained these measures with data on the increased infectivity of the new strain of coronavirus "omicron".

In Bashkiria, a negative PCR test result, along with a medical exemption from vaccination, is one of three documents on covid safety, along with QR codes about vaccination or a disease that has been transferred within six months. Upon presentation of these documents in Bashkiria, visitors have access to shopping centers, cinemas, hypermarkets, retail markets, fitness clubs, swimming pools and other public places. They are also required when checking into hotels and sanatoriums.
