
Vladimir Lyseyko, the former HEAD of the Prosecutor General's Office for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases, has passed away in Moscow. This was announced on Instagram by his friend actor Stanislav Sadalsky.
“Yesterday I died of CORONAVIRUS in the legendary Kommunarka after the first injection of the Sputnik V vaccine,” Sadalsky wrote.
According to TASS, citing a source, the cause of Lyseiko's death was complications due to covid-19 . State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein told the agency that the farewell to Lyseyko would take place on Friday at the Troyekurovsky cemetery.
Lyseyko has worked as an investigator for especially important cases in the Prosecutor General's Office since the days of the USSR. After 1991, he worked in the investigative department of the Prosecutor General's Office of RUSSIA, headed the department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia for investigating particularly important cases.
