“Already in the middle of this year, the Russian economy recovered from the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic, reached pre-crisis levels, and employment rates also returned to 2019 levels,” Putin said.
Putin announced the growth of Russia's GDP by 4.7% at the end of the year Economics
In November, Putin said that GDP growth by the end of 2021 would be up to 4.7%. Then he also noted that economic indicators returned to pre-pandemic indicators. “We have already returned to the pre-pandemic level in terms of GDP growth, and in 2021, according to our estimates, it will be up to 4.7%,” the president said.
According to him, for RUSSIA this is a “quite good indicator”, although not the highest indicator in the Asia-Pacific region. According to the forecast, global GDP growth this year will be 5.9%, and for APEC members this figure will be even higher - an average of 6.4%, Putin added.
