Putin announced that the state defense order was completed by 99.8%

The tasks of the state defense order in 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic , were completed by 99.8%. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and representatives of the military-industrial complex, the press service of the Kremlin reports.

According to Putin, due to the coronavirus pandemic, enterprises of the military-industrial complex faced "difficult problems." However, the state provided them with support, which made it possible to maintain the required pace of work, as well as mass production, modernization and repair of weapons and equipment.

“As a result, the tasks of the state defense order last year were completed by 99.8%, which is a good indicator,” the president said.

He added that it is important to continue to deliver promising models of weapons and equipment to the troops on time. The head of state explained that, first of all, we are talking about equipment for the Aerospace Forces and the Navy.
