Putin to speak at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday, June 4. He plans to participate in the event in person, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Putin's speech will be devoted to socio-economic topics, issues of the country's socio-economic development and Russia's investment attractiveness.

Together with Putin, the forum will be attended by invited foreign leaders - the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. They will join the event via video conferencing.

The HEAD of the French oil company Total Patrick Pouyanne, the president of the German conglomerate Siemens Energy AG Christian Bruch, the DIRECTOR of the German oil and gas company Wintershall Dea Mario Mehren, and the president of HUAWEI Eurasia Zhou Daniel are also among the participants in SPIEF-2021.

SPIEF has been held annually since 1997, and this year it will take place on June 2-5. The forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation. The President of RUSSIA has been participating in it since 2006.
