Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to visit RUSSIA to attend the annual Russia-India: Partnership for Peace, Progress and Prosperity Joint Summit. This is stated in a joint statement by the parties following Putin's visit to the republic, published on the Kremlin's website.

“[Putin] has invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Russia next year to attend the 22nd Annual Russia-India Summit,” the document says.

The statement also said that the Russian President thanked Modi for his hospitality.
