Putin named the vaccine he was vaccinated with

In order to be vaccinated against COVID-19 , Russian President Vladimir Putin chose the Sputnik V drug. He announced this during the “Direct Line”, the program is broadcast by RBC.

One of the hosts of the program, Nailya Asker-Zade, told the president that a huge number of questions received on the direct line were related to what kind of vaccine the president was making. Putin replied that at the time when he was vaccinated, there were two vaccines in civilian circulation - EpiVacCorona and Sputnik V - "both good."

“I proceeded from the fact that I need to be protected for as long as possible, and I made a decision for myself to be vaccinated with Sputnik V,” Putin said. “Moreover, our armed forces are being inoculated with Sputnik V, and I am still the supreme commander,” he added.

According to the President, EpiVacCorona, developed by the Vector Center, operates a little less in time.

“I didn’t consult with doctors at all, I looked at my friends,” he explained.
