Putin awarded Hungarian Foreign Minister with the Order of Friendship

President Vladimir Putin awarded Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijarto with the Order of Friendship for his great contribution to the development of relations with RUSSIA. The corresponding decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

“For a great contribution to the development of Russian-Hungarian relations and industrial and investment cooperation, award the Order of Friendship to Siyarto Peter, the Minister of Foreign Economic and Foreign Affairs of Hungary,” the document says.

The Order of Friendship was established in Russia in 1994. it is awarded to citizens "for a great contribution to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between nations and nationalities, high achievements in the development of the economic and scientific potential of Russia." In addition, the award is given for work on the rapprochement of national cultures, the strengthening of peace and friendly relations between states.
