Putin starts annual press conference

The annual press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin began at the Moscow Manege. RBC is broadcasting live.

The number of journalists who will participate in the event has been reduced to 500 people due to the CORONAVIRUS pandemic, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said. In addition to employees of the federal media working on the presidential agenda, representatives of foreign and regional publications were invited to the conference.

According to Peskov, questions for the president's press conference are not prescribed in advance. He noted that the Kremlin monitors the agenda throughout the year, especially at times when it is restless, as it is now.

This press conference will be the 17th for Putin.
