Manufacturers increased the output of products before the non-working week

Food suppliers have ramped up production and organized extra shifts for employees to avoid product shortages ahead of the non-working week declared from 30 October to 7 November. This was reported to RBC by the Rusprodsoyuz Association of Suppliers and Producers of Food Products, which includes more than 400 enterprises in the country.

“We do not predict delays in the supply of goods and a shortage of goods on the shelf (even temporary)," said Dmitry Vostrikov, HEAD of the association.

The head of Rusprodsoyuz noted that suppliers were faced with a serious burden due to the need to pay employees for working days on weekends at a double rate, supply logistics and an increase in the price of raw materials and logistics.
