Children arriving from Syria will be sent to federal medical centers

23 children who arrived from Syria to Russia on board the VKS aircraft will be sent to federal medical centers, TASS reports with reference to the Ministry of Health.

“23 children will be delivered to the federal medical organizations of the Russian Ministry of Health to provide the necessary medical care,” the ministry said.

Their parents left to join the radicals from the Islamic State (an organization banned in Russia). After the death of their parents, many children were left unattended.

In April, another 44 children of Russian citizens returned from Syrian refugee camps. This was the largest number of children taken home ever.
